Job Description:

• Detailed-oriented individual to be responsible for sourcing, selecting. and purchasing product required for our operation.  Responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, general purchasing administration duties and assisting with maintaining an inventory.  In this position, the Buyer will work with staff across departments to forecast needs and make purchase decisions based on demand.

• Should be analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to budgets.

Job Responsibilities:

• Research, select, and purchase quality products and materials.
• Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
• Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
• Assist with updating inventory and ensuring that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels
• Arrange transportation of incoming materials and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
• Coordinate with purchasing team, management, and storeroom as required.
• Assess quality of materials received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.

Qualifications:

• Experienced in purchasing required..
• Must have familiarity with electrical rotating machinery and associated equipment.
• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.).
• Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High school graduate with some college is a plus.
